When you notice yourself becoming overly stressed, use your index finger to press against your jaw. Next, clench your jaw, inhale deeply and exhale deeply to release your jaw. This is an exercise to help ease stress and discomfort.

The importance of slowing down cannot be overstated and you can do so by drawing in a deeper breath and allowing yourself to to realign your thoughts. As the day wears on, try to limit the times that you rush, which will help your anxiety level.

Shallow breathing causes stress to your body, including important organs such as the heart and lungs. Try to breath slow and steady to get a maximum relaxation effect. You can reduce stress levels by remembering once in a while to slow down, breathe deeply and relax. Take a deep breath.
